Day 1 of Kitten:

I've had 2 cats before in my life. Mrs. Beazley and Mieko. Mrs. Beazley died of old age when I was 18 and Mieko ran off to stay with this old lady that had better food. I told her to stop feeding my cat but she wouldn't stop and my cat ran off.

So after years of being sad about my cat running away and seeing mouse in my room. I decided to get a kitten, this is a first for me ever having one only 2 months old.

So here is thee run down of having a new kitten. Could not seem to get the cat to like his litter box. Thought maybe he would but instead he preferred to shit in the bed at 3 am and then once Ethan let him out early this morning on my expensive rug and seemed to diarrhea in Ethan's room. So now he is in Ethan's batheroom until he learn to poop in litter box.

I got the kitten expensive fancy kitty litter and fancy food. This cat hates the fancy litter ad food. Currently he likes eating the free cat food I got in the mail and my bed and expensive silk Chinese rug I bought in Afghanistan are his favorite places to poop! But did catch mouse in a trap! 

Great Start Shake Recipe!

Some mornings when I wake up and have time to make a morning shake I make this recipe below. I believe there are a lot of calories and is chocked full a vitamins. It's my recipes so it works for me and if you don't like it go with another. Also the measurements are kinda accurate since I never measure and eye my ingredients. Some people juts can't do that so I will try to be close.

Melissa's Morning Shake

1/2 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt 

1 cup mixed berries ( whatever flavor)

1/2 banna or whole

1/3 almonds

1/3 granola (Natures Path Organic Pumpkin Flax Granola) 

1/2 cup orange juice 

1/4 agave nector for sweetness

So if you need to add more or take away feel free. I sometime take away berries and use a some mango or use both! I use all organic if I can afford or find. So good luck and hope you like it. I'm poor to suggestions too!

Toronto!

I went to Toronto a couple weeks ago for a mini break and had a wonderful time. However, I only got a few pictures and the weather sucked so I didn't get the pictures I wanted.

Some Art Stuff

Here are 2 pics I took under bridge in Chicago. One is a living space for someone that is homeless. The other is graffiti and it was to beautiful to be ignored.

There are many beautiful sites in Chicago but you can't ignore the fact that many people don't have homes, the streets are home.

I Heart Chicago!

I went to Chicago this past weekend with my boyfriend and had a really great time. There is so much to do and there was never a dull moment! We tried to rent some Divvy bikes but all the kiosk that we would go to were out of order. After about 3 miles of walking to Divvy bike stations we had already seen most of what we wanted to see and saved $24 and walked for free. The Navy Pier was a nice place to visit and you get some great views of the city. Just a great trip and a lot of fun.

Off to the Fair!

So I have been really busy lately with work, crossfit, being a single mother, and just taking time to enjoy life.  I recently started to remember to bring my camera on my trips since I had recently forgot to bring, hence no pics. I took my son to the Allegan County Fair and he had a blast until he decide to turn in to angry child. I was able to get some great photos in between temper tantrums and you tell be was being a bad boy from that little angelic face of his! lol!

Been a While!
